Baby Benjamin Update

It's been a while since I've written down what's happening with our littlest boy. I am 35 weeks along and things are looking good! The only real hiccup has been that this go-around I have gestational diabetes, so that means I've had to really watch closely every single thing I eat. The bad part of that is I'm hungry a lot and not able to satisfy cravings etc. The good part is that I will have hardly any weight to loose after the baby is born! I am planning to eat a LOT at Christmas this year, and my husband is going to buy me a sheet cake to celebrate Benjamin's birth and the end of diabetes! If you know me you know how I feel about sheet cake. ; )

After lots of ultrasounds we finally saw this guys little face!

Another good thing that has come from this is the fact that we are able to have ultrasounds nearly every doctors visit and we have been going to the doctor almost every week for the past few weeks and will continue to do so until the baby is born. At our last ultrasound we found out that Benjamin is probably 5lb. 5oz. (Right on target). My fluid levels look really good and I haven't progressed any more! We are trying to keep him in there a couple of more weeks!

His mouth is open here.

And this is the front view of his face!

We can't wait to meet him in a few weeks, but boy do we have a LOT to do at out house before he arrives! I am a crazy nesting lady who isn't allowed to do more than a few minutes of physical work at a time and it's killing me! I want to really enjoy these last weeks as a family of 4 but until I get our house ready I am pretty much stressed about how it will all get done.

Toot-i-ta

These boys are getting pretty good at the toot-i-ta!

Oklahoma!

I let Grace stay up late and watch Oklahoma with me Friday night.

I have such good memories of doing this with my mom. I hope we can make it a girl tradition here in this boy house!

The Cereal Defender

Jack are breakfast with his sword on the other day...

Guess he needed to be prepared to guard his cereal. :)

Aunt Mary Allison

Aunt MA came last weekend (and Nana and Paw Paw too!) and the kids and adults had such a great time visiting!

Grace drew this picture the day after they all left. Her wheelchair drawing skills are improving! Haha!

A Baby Shower For Benjamin

Our sweet friends threw us a wonderful baby shower last Saturday to help celebrate and get ready for baby Benjamin Mitchiner! It was really low key and a great time of visiting and celebrating this new baby. We also got SO many wonderful baby things that we are SO thankful for! Only a few weeks left to go!!!
