Tiny Baby

This baby is so small. He was 6lb6oz when we brought him home and my mom had to go buy him a couple of outfits because we had nothing small enough for him to wear!

Such a precious baby.

The Red Plate Club

Grace girl became a big sister and member of the red plate club all in the same week!

She got to bring home the red plate from school because she learned all of her Kindergarden sight words!

We are so proud of you, Grace! You are working so hard and doing a wonderful job!

First Walk

Tuesday Benjamin took his first walk down McCormick St.

We saw Madeline, Nannette and Poppy soon after we headed out and joined them for a short visit to Martha's house to meet the rest of the crew there.

Here are the two newest additions to our street! Poppy and Benjamin!

First Bath

Benjamin really enjoys bath time.

He likes to sit in the warm water and wash his hair.

He does not like to be taken out of the bath.

But give him the paci, snuggle with him, and he's good to go again.

And Grace is really good at brushing his hair.

I'll make you a hat...

Jack made a hat on Sunday.

Then he decided he needed to make one for brother too.

"See! He likes it, Mom!"

Much fun is in store for us around this place.

Coming Home

We were really glad to come home Saturday afternoon. It was SO nice to be with all my kids.

Can you tell we were all glad to be home!

Grace is absolutely the best bug sister. She is such a good helper and loves to love on her brother.

Precious!

And I'm thankful that I found some pretty fabric on the $5 table last week and decided to see up some stockings really quickly. 5 stockings look really nice on our mantle.

Once again... Thankful.

Guess Who?

I think it's safe to say our kids favor each other...

Meet Benjamin!

Benjamin Mitchiner Nida

We went to the hospital early Thursday morning and by lunchtime our sweet little boy was in our arms.

Here is the last pregnancy picture... 39 weeks to the day!

Thanks to my gestational diabetes diagnosis and super strict diet I lost weight every week of my last trimester... Even though my belly got huge!

Baby time!

This delivery was SO wonderful! Such an answer to prayer for sure. I started around 8:45 and labored with no drugs for a couple of hours. Then when I did get my epidural it only worked on one side! I knew things were staring to move fast and we called the anesthesiologist to come back and fix me up. He gave me a dose of lidocaine, and we found I went from 6cm to 10 in about 15 minutes! A couple of pushes later and Benjamin was in my arms nursing away! It was great! And it just goes to show that not every delivery is the same... Thank goodness!!!!

6 pounds 13 ounces 20 inches long!

Mama and the sweetest baby boy.

We are so blessed and so thankful for this precious gift.
