Everybody Look!

When we went to see Grandmother (mom's mom) today and we tried to take a picture. We just could not seem to all look at the camera at the same time!

We have had a wonderful time visiting with Grandmother (now that the kids are feeling better) the past couple of days. It is SO neat to see how she responds to the little ones. Jack practiced walking to her today over and over and they both had such a good time! I showed her where his tickle spot is on his leg, and she tickled him and thought it was the most wonderful thing when he cackled at her! He also loved sitting in her lap and playing with her pearls. Grace brought her T-ball stuff today and showed Grandmother how good she is at hitting the ball. The best thing Grace has done though, is when it is time to leave each day, she always asks to stay longer and says she wants to come back. The first day we were visiting, Nana told her we were going to go get some lunch at Chick-fil-A. Grace said she wanted to stay with Grandmother instead... And Grandmother heard her. You could tell it just made her day! I love that we are getting to spend a bit of time with her each day. I think it does us all good!

She is doing well! She will be 97 in September, so she has the typical complications that come with just getting older. But she is eating well and still fairly easy to talk to etc, and her health is pretty good. She just needs a lot of extra care cause she is so weak. But her hair and skin are still flawless even when she has no makeup on! I most definitely did not inherit that trait! Lol! Those Dumas sisters were somethin' else, that is for certain! It's amazing to me to think how much has changed since they were kids... In 1914!
