We had such a good morning today! The kids slept till 7! Then we were up and ready and done with chores etc by 9. So we decided to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and take a walk around the Norton Gardens. We have not been in a while because it has been so hot and we have been exploring our nice flat, sidewalked neighborhood! It was good to be back!

I am so relieved that Jack is old enough to listen and obey commands now! Last year he would run all over, but now he will stop when told and come back etc. It makes all the difference in the world to be able to trust that your kid will listen and obey when you're out in a public place like that... With lawnmowers. So he got to run some with Sister!
And we played "Mr. McGregor and Peter Rabbit" and hide and seek. Can you find the two "bunnies"? Peter and Benjamin were into a lot of vegetables today and almost made a nice pie for supper. It's a good thing they are such good hiders. :)

Then we went to Chick-fil-A for, as Grace put it, a "really really special treat". I even let the kids get ice cream cones.
A good time was had by all.
Then we went to Walmart and did shopping for this weekend and next week. The kids were seriously SO good, and they didn't even get Icees! Then we ran another errand south of town, came home, unpacked and started naps! Whew! I am so thankful for this beautiful weather and our great morning!
